Flavouring Futures
Cooking together builds more than meals — it creates confidence, community, and connection. Flavouring Futures is a hands-on mentoring programme that brings together young adults, including NEETs and mums & daughters, to explore food, learn life skills, and share personal growth through cooking. Over six weeks, participants grow side-by-side in the kitchen and beyond — with their stories captured in a shared community cookbook.

Support That Changes Lives
Every connection you make through Phoenix 12 CIC helps foster wellbeing and resilience in those who need it most.
More Than a Cooking Class
A creative space for skills, self-belief, and shared stories
At the heart of Flavouring Futures is a simple idea: everyone deserves the tools to thrive. Through food and mentorship, this project opens new possibilities for young people facing barriers — and makes room for joy, voice, and belonging.
🍲 Cook, Learn, Grow
This is more than learning to follow a recipe.
Each session teaches practical cooking skills while gently supporting confidence, independence, and wellbeing. Participants are mentored while preparing simple, nourishing meals they can recreate at home.📖 Every Dish Has a Story
The project finishes with a special community cookbook.
This book features the meals created together, reflections from each participant, and the mentoring moments that shaped the journey. It’s a celebration of growth, identity, and voice — cooked up in community.🤝 A Programme That Adapts to You
Flavouring Futures is shaped by the community it serves.
Originally designed for NEET young adults and mums & daughters, the format is flexible and welcoming to any youth-focused group. It can be adapted for different settings, needs, and outcomes.
