- Managers and Supervisors: Managers and supervisors are responsible for implementing safeguarding procedures within their respective teams, identifying, and addressing safeguarding concerns, and supporting staff and volunteers in safeguarding matters.
- All Staff and Volunteers: All staff and volunteers are responsible for familiarising themselves with the safeguarding policy, reporting any safeguarding concerns promptly, and cooperating with investigations as required.
5. Safeguarding Procedures
Our safeguarding procedures include but are not limited to:
- Conducting appropriate background checks for staff and volunteers who work with vulnerable individuals.
- Providing safeguarding training to workers and volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to recognise signs of abuse, respond appropriately to concerns, and understand their reporting obligations.
- Implementing clear reporting mechanisms for raising safeguarding concerns, including how to escalate concerns to the DSL or relevant authorities.
