Our History
How It All Began
Phoenix 12 CIC was founded with a passion for making a difference. Inspired by lived experiences and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by disadvantaged communities, our organisation was established to provide holistic support. From a small initiative tackling housing-related issues, we’ve grown into a trusted provider of advocacy, counselling, workshops, and more, helping countless individuals on their journey to wellbeing.
Securing Funding and Community Outreach
Late 2024
In 2024, we received pivotal funding to launch transformative projects such as the Merakai and Lotus initiatives. These programs enable us to work more deeply within the community, offering support, counselling, and workshops that build resilience, improve wellbeing, and create opportunities for growth. Phoenix 12 CIC continues to strengthen its impact, guided by a commitment to empower and support those in need.
Founding Phoenix 12 CIC
2024
Building on the success of the Southwark Initiative, Phoenix 12 CIC was established in 2024 to address a broader range of issues affecting disadvantaged communities. With a mission to empower and uplift, Phoenix 12 CIC expanded its services to include advocacy, counselling, workshops, and mentoring programs, tailored to create lasting change.
The Southwark Initiative
Early 2000s
Our journey began in the early 2000s with the Southwark Initiative, a grassroots effort to support individuals facing housing challenges and social inequalities in South London. Over time, this initiative grew into a trusted hub, providing essential services and fostering a sense of community for those in need.
